On Christmas Eve night, with the solemn act of opening the Holy Door of St. Peter’s Basilica, Pope Francis officially inaugurated the Jubilee of 2025. A journey of grace, that envelops the entire world in the light of hope, had started. After a moment of silent prayer in the Basilica’s atrium, the Pope was the first to cross the sacred threshold of the Door as a ‘Pilgrim of Hope,’ followed by a solemn procession of cardinals, bishops, concelebrating priests, and families from the five continents. It symbolizied the universality of the Church, united in an embrace of faith and hope.
