The Philatelic and Numismatic Marketing is based inside the Palace of the Governorate of the Vatican City State. It consists in one of the Economic Activities of the Directorate of the Economy and works with dedication and passion to promote, valorise and make Vatican philatelic and numismatic issues accessible worldwide. It represents the hub of their dissemination and valorisation at an international level.
This intense activity of cultural and symbolic diffusion finds its roots in a totally unique institutional context: the Vatican City State, which, although small in size and population, plays an extraordinary role of spiritual, cultural and diplomatic importance on the international scene. The Vatican philatelic production.

Vatican philately opens the door to a fascinating universe where history, art and spirituality intertwine and blend harmoniously. Through elegant thematic series, the stamps carefully tell stories, symbols and figures that define the identity of the Church and its millenary heritage. Every year, the Vatican's Postal and Philatelic Service proposes about twenty new issues, inspired by significant anniversaries such as Christmas, Easter, the Pope's apostolic journeys and the common theme of the Europa series, shared with the other member countries of PostEurop. The world of Vatican Numismatics.

A perfect balance of beauty, meaning and innovation: Vatican numismatics celebrates the values of the Church through issues that are unique in style and content. They include different types of coins, including the divisional series, available in both the Brilliant Uncirculated and the more precious Proof versions, which also include 20 euro silver and 50 euro gold coins. As of 2018, a 5-euro bimetallic coin was introduced alongside the traditional eight standard euro values, further enriching the numismatic offer. In addition, commemorative coins are produced each year in different alloys and coinage, ranging from the classic 2-euro bimetallic coins to the refined 5-euro and 10-euro silver issues, recently also offered with gold details.
