The world of Vatican Numismatics
A perfect balance of beauty, meaning and innovation: Vatican numismatics celebrates the values of the Church through issues that are unique in style and content. They include different types of coins, including the divisional series, available in both the Brilliant Uncirculated and the more precious Proof versions, which also include 20 euro silver and 50 euro gold coins.
As of 2018, a 5-euro bimetallic coin was introduced alongside the traditional eight standard euro values, further enriching the numismatic offer. In addition, commemorative coins are produced each year in different alloys and coinage, ranging from the classic 2-euro bimetallic coins to the refined 5-euro and 10-euro silver issues, recently also offered with gold details. These are flanked by 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200 euro gold coins, which celebrate important events, personalities and themes related to the life of the Church and culture.
In recent years, production has also been enriched by more innovative and artistic issues, such as the 25 euro coins in coloured silver with a horizontal cut and the 5 euro and 20 euro coins embellished with polychrome details, which combine technology, creativity and symbolic value in a perfect balance between tradition and modernity.
This evolution in the numismatic proposal is the result of continuous research into new techniques and possibilities, conducted with the aim of satisfying the needs of collectors with products that are increasingly original, refined and in step with the times.
