Stamp series Pontificate of Pope Francis MMXXV - €1.30
The pontificate of Pope Francis continues to inspire millions of hearts around the world, illuminating humanity’s path through his Magisterium centered on the proclamation of a merciful God and the commitment to building a more peaceful, inclusive, and just world. From the very beginning of his papacy in 2013, Pope Francis has opened a new chapter in the history of the Church, bringing it closer to the people and attuned to the challenges of our time. He has raised his voice on behalf of the poor, refugees, and victims of war and persecution, calling for a concrete commitment to a Church that serves the least among us and acts as a beacon of hope for those who suffer. The stamp illustrations portray the Holy Father during significant moments of his pontificate over the past year. The €1.25 stamp shows him blessing the faithful during the Holy Mass for Peace on January 1, 2024. The €1.30 stamp depicts him greeting pilgrims in St. Peter’s Square on October 20, 2024, the day of the canonizations. The €2.45 stamp captures a moment of prayer and reflection during the Pentecost Mass. Lastly, the €3.20 stamp shows him smiling during a special meeting with children on May 25, 2024.
