“Dear friends, look at the real heroes who come to light in these days: they are not famous, rich and successful people; rather, they are those who are giving themselves in order to serve others.” These are words taken from the homily Pope Francis gave on Palm Sunday, 5 April, and that inspire the aerogram issued by the Vatican. Marco Ventura captures the essence of this message in the representation on the left of the aerogram, which shows a doctor, a nurse and a priest while lovingly assisting and treating a sick person, in memory and in honor of the sacrifice of those who died on duty taking care of people with coronavirus. The postage stamp impression depicts some virus molecules neutralized by a vaccine which we hope will soon be available.
