Our new packaging Concept
Starting from 2025, all new Vatican numismatic issues will be accompanied by a new packaging concept, designed under the sign of environmental sustainability and a coordinated visual identity. The renewal stems from the need to consistently respond to the changes taking place and to promote a more environmentally conscious and respectful approach, harmonising materials and design. The new packaging is made with environmentally sustainable materials and processing techniques. The functional and refined magnetic closure is embossed with the Vatican State Mint and CFN logos.
A distinctive element of the new packaging is the presence, on the upper part of the coin case, of the official coat of arms of the Vatican City State printed in five different metallic colours, each corresponding to the type of metal contained in the coin.
The cases of the 2025 coins will be coated with an elegant and luminous gold metallic paper, inspired by the symbolic meaning of the Holy Year, with the exception of the commemorative coins of the Sede Vacante, which will be produced in a burgundy colour, chosen to underline in a visually distinctive way the exceptional nature of a unique moment in the life of the Catholic Church
